Resolution

Installing Sage 50 on the new computer or server:
  1. To download and install the latest version of Sage 50 refer to the article Registration, Downloading, Installation, and Activation.
  2. If you are changing servers, see How to install the Sage 50 Connection Manager on the server
Transferring your Data File:
Option 1: Use a Sage 50 Backup
  1. Create the backup and save to an external media device, see How do I create a backup?
  2. Restore the backup on the new computer, refer to How to restore from a backup

Option 2: Find your data folder and file

  1. In Sage 50, go to File, Properties.
  2. Note the Location and Company File name.
  3. Copy the .SAJ folder and the .SAI file to an external media device. See How do I copy my files from one location to another in Windows Explorer?.
  4. Open Sage 50 to the Welcome startup window.
  5. Choose Select an existing company and open your company file.

Option 3: If your file is shared using Remote Data Access

Optional Steps:

I need to setup LAN connectivity (non-Remote Data Access)
