| How to locate your company file |
Resolution | Open the file in Sage 50- Log in to the program.
- Select File, then Properties to display the file name and location.
- Select the blue hyperlink to show the file location in Windows Explorer.
Open a recently used company from the Welcome Screen- Open Sage 50 Accounting.
- In the Sage welcome window, select Open the last company you worked on.
NOTE: To show the Welcome Screen, select the option View, Select Company Windows At Startup.
- Select the drop-down arrow to locate your company file from the list.
- Select your file and click OK.
Use Windows Explorer- On your keyboard, press Windows key + E key to open Windows Explorer.
- Select View, Options, then Change folder and search options.
- Select the Search tab.
 - Add a checkmark for Include compressed files (ZIP, CAB...).

- Select OK.
- At the upper right side of the window in the search text field, type *.sai and press Enter.
- All Sage 50 Accounting files with .sai extension display in the results.
- Scroll through the list until you locate your company file and path.
NOTE: You can also search for *.cab backup files that you can restore.
