Method 1: Repair Sage 50

1. Open the Windows Control Panel:
   • Windows Vista, 7, 8 - Click on Programs and Features
   • Locate Sage 50 Accounting in the list
2. Right-click it in the list and select Change.
3. Follow the steps to perform a repair (Update / Reinstall Program).
4. Reboot the computer when done.
5. Verify the error no longer occurs.
6. If a simple repair does not fix the issue:
   • Follow I bought a brand new computer and Sage 50 does not run on it.

Method 2: Firewall blocking

1. Add Ports to firewall:

Method 3: Directory of the company file is from an unknown location

1. Find the backup or company file:
   • Refer to How to restore from a backup
2. Copy or restore it to a new folder under the C drive.
3. Open with the latest version of Sage 50.
