How to reconcile a bank account

Use the reconciliation feature to match your bank statement with recorded transactions.
Ensure all transactions align and the balance difference equals zero before you finish.

Resolution

NOTE:

You can’t reconcile Cash in Hand accounts.

Set up the reconciliation

  1. Go to Banking.
  2. Select the bank account tile you want to reconcile.
  3. Select Reconcile.
  4. Enter the required details:
    Statement Date Enter the end date of the bank statement.
    Statement End Balance Enter the ending balance from the bank statement.
    Reference Enter a reference, such as a page number or statement date.
  5. Select Apply.

Reconcile transactions

  1. Complete the bank reconciliation as follows:
    Reconcile all transactions Select Reconcile All Entries on the Interest and Charges menu.
    Reconcile transactions one at a time Select the checkbox in the Reconciled column.
    Record bank interest or charges
    Select Interest and Charges, complete the fields, then select Save.
  2. Ensure the balance matches the target balance.
  3. Confirm the difference equals zero.
  4. Select Finish.
  5. To save progress, select Save for Later from the Finish menu.
  6. To view reconciliations, go to the bank account and select Reconciliations.
  7. To print details, select Print.
