| | How to import bank statements |
| Description | If you have historical or many transactions, you can upload them from a bank statement. NOTE: If you'll be using bank feeds, we recommend that you import bank statements first.

| Resolution | Download your bank statement - Log in to your online banking service and download your bank statement.
- Download the file as one of the following types: BAI2, CAMT053, OFX, ASO, QIF, CSV, XLS (X).
- You can identify these files by one of the following extensions: BAI, XML, TXT, OFX, ASO, QBO, QFX, QIF, CSV, XLS, XLSX
Format and upload the file - Go to Banking and select the account you want to import transactions to.
- To the right of the Connect to bank button, select the drop-down arrow and Import statement.
- Click Open file import guide for help with setting up your file or to download example files.
NOTE: If you're importing CSV, XLS, or XLSX, it needs to contain certain headers. - Once you’ve formatted your file, click Select a file from your device.
- Find the bank statement on your computer, and Open.
- Alternatively, you can drag and drop the file
- Select the date format used in your file.
- Add a comment to help you identify the import later.
- Click Upload file.
Verify and review your transactions - The window will display one of your transactions. Confirm whether the transaction is money coming into or going out of the account.
- The program will apply the money in and money out rules to the rest of your transactions.
- Check for errors and if you find any, go back to the Verify window, and make changes.
- Select Import transactions to go back to the Banking screen.
- Your banking tile will display the transactions once you import them.
