- Q: What is APFlow Basic?
A: APFlow Basic is a separate application which helps streamline the AP invoice routing and approval process with features such as:
- Invoice scanning
- AP invoice routing and approval workflows
- AP check review
- In addition, you can scan and index accounts payable related documents into a secure vault for safekeeping. Then, search for and locate those documents based on key terms or classifications such as vendors or jobs.
- Q: How does APFlow Basic compare to APFlow? What additional features are available from Sage Paperless Construction?
A: Refer to the comparison chart in the Attachments section below.
- Q: Is APFlow Basic initiated or launched from within the Accounts Payable application?
A: No, APFlow Basic is a separate application. It is launched by clicking the Sage Paperless Construction icon.
- Q: How do I get up and running with APFlow Basic?
A: Review DocLink: How do I implement Sage APFlow Basic from Sage Paperless Construction? The KB includes links to Setup and User guides and information about available complimentary training opportunities.
- Q: When will APFlow Basic be available?
A: APFlow Basic will be available near your business care plan renewal date. New customers receive APFlow Basic when they purchase uses of Accounts Payable.
- Q: I already have APFlow. What happens if I relinquish all of my APFlow licenses?
A: You will have APFlow Basic features and functionality but you will no longer have access to features that are available with APFlow Standard.
- Q: What happens if I do not renew my maintenance plan after implementing APFlow Basic? Will I still have access to Sage Paperless Construction APFlow Basic and my scanned documents?
A: If you do not renew maintenance for Accounts Payable, you will not have access to APFlow Basic. Documents are stored locally and can still be accessed if you do not renew.
- Q: What versions of Sage 300 CRE work with APFlow Basic and Sage Paperless Construction?
A: All currently supported versions of Sage 300 CRE are compatible with APFlow Basic and Sage Paperless Construction. As of April 2019, the versions are 18.2.2 and 17.1 Rev 8.
- Q: What happens if I relinquish the use of Accounts Payable? Do I lose my use of APFlow Basic?
A: Yes, if you relinquish an AP license you will lose an APFlow Basic license. Further, if you do not renew maintenance for Accounts Payable, you will lose access to all APFlow Basic licenses.
- Q: What training options are available?
A: Sage offers public training classes on Sage University.
- Q: What if I want to upgrade my APFlow Basic?
A: An APFlow license can be purchased. Please contact us at 1-800-526-5805 for more information.
- Q: What if I already have APFlow?
A: Then you still have APFlow and can use it as you currently do. APFlow Basic is a limited version of the more feature-rich APFlow and is based on a seat user license model instead of a concurrent user model. These two license types cannot coexist.
- Q: If I have 4 uses of Accounts Payable and purchase a 5th, do all 5 users have APFlow Basic?
A: Yes, you will have an equal number of AP and APFlow Basic licenses. Any changes to the AP license count will also be reflected in the APFlow Basic user count.
- Q: Can I buy additional licenses of APFlow Basic?
A: Yes, call 800-526-5805 to purchase additional licenses.
- Q: Does APFlow Basic include the vault?
A: Yes, it includes two vaults.
- Q: I have two uses of APFlow and 5 uses of Accounts Payable. Am I gaining 3 uses of APFlow?
A: You are gaining 5 named licenses of APFlow Basic. You will still have 2 concurrent licenses of APFlow.
- Q: Can I purchase APFlow Basic for use with Sage 100 Contractor?
A: APFlow Basic licenses are only available as additional licenses for Sage 300 Construction & Real Estate.
- Q: I'm on a subscription service plan for Sage 300 CRE but do not have APFlow Basic. Why?
A: APFlow Basic is not available to customers who are on a subscription service plan for Sage 300 CRE.
