If you need assistance completing the configuration in Windows, contact your IT or Microsoft Support. Section 1: Make sure the following are set up before beginning - Make sure the computers are on the same workgroup and in the same network.
- Have your Network Administrator (IT) verify.
- Make sure you can access the other computer on the computer you are on.
- Go to Control panel, and then select Network and Sharing Centre.
- Select Change advanced sharing settings.

- There are different subsections. You need to configure the following on all computers:
- Turn on network discovery
- Turn on file and printer sharing
Section 2: Sharing the folder - Create a folder on the main PC where the file is to be kept.
- Share this folder with read / write permissions to Everyone or assigned users, refer to: Configuring Sage 50 CA for a server environment
- Share the folder with permissions to System with Full Control.
- Open Sage 50 company file.
- Set up user names with passwords, see How do I set up a multi-user mode?
- Verify your shared folder works.
