| Resolution | Converting from Simply Accounting or Sage 50 Accounting 2014 and prior See How to convert from Sage 50 2013 or older to the latest version? Before you begin the conversion - Create a backup.
- Select File, Properties, and note the Location and Company File name.
- Version 2008 or higher - file type - .sai
- Turn off User Account Control (UAC) by selecting Control Panel, User Accounts.
- Turn off any Antivirus, Firewall, and Anti-Spyware.
- Save the data on the local computer and run the Advanced Database Check.
- Convert the data, then save the data back to the original location.
To start the conversion - Open the newest version of Sage 50.
- If you get the Welcome window with several options, select the one that best fits your needs.
- Open the last company you worked on or
- Select an existing company to go to the location of the file
- OK.
- Click Next several times to go through the Upgrade wizard, and then click Finish.
- If prompted to sign in with the Sage account, sign in with the sysadmin credentials.
