NOTE: Sage 50 support plans don't include Migration and conversion of older versions of Sage 50 data. Sage Expert Services assists with data conversion. This is a fee-based service. 

• Data files from Simply Accounting 2007 or earlier require pre-converting to Sage 50 2014 or 2015 before upgrading.
• Before doing any conversion, ensure the latest purchase of Sage 50 is the correct one.

Install Sage 50 2015.3

1. Download Sage 50 2015.3 Full Product.
2. Install version 2015. When prompted for a serial number, select Trial Version.
3. Select the same edition as your old data file (First Step, Pro, Premium, Quantum). Select the Accountants Edition with the 30-day trial option if you're not sure.
4. Continue with the installation.
5. If the icon for Sage 50 2015 is unavailable after the install, reinstall the program. 

The data file is in Sage 50 2013 or prior

1. Open your database in version 2015.
2. Follow the screen prompts to complete the data conversion.
3. Open the file that you just converted to 2015.3 in the latest version of Sage 50.
4. Follow the screen prompts to complete the data conversion.
5. While converting the file, create a backup when you get the prompt.

Error during conversion in French

1. Open Windows File Explorer and go to C:\Program Files (x86).
2. Identify the folder containing Sage 50 2015.
3. Shorten the name of the folder by removing 'Trial Version'.
4. Try to convert the data file again.
