How to run the Advanced Database Check (ADC)

To run ADC from within the data file

 NOTE: Make sure the data file is on the local C Drive and not on the network or the cloud. 

  1. Ensure that the user logs in as sysadmin and in single-user mode.
  2. Create a backup.
  3. Select Maintenance, Advanced Database Check.
  4. On the Sage 50 warning window, select Yes.
  5. Wait for the Database Check processing window to finish.
  6. The Sage 50 Company File Checks and Repair will display a new window if there are errors.
  7. Select OK to fix database table layout inconsistencies.
  8. If you receive the message "Not a valid Sage 50 file", contact Customer Support at 888-522-2722.
  9. Wait for the file verification to finish.

To run ADC from outside Sage 50

  1. Open Windows Explorer.
  2. Browse to the C:\\ Program Files (x86), Sage 50, dbverifier.
  3. Double-click Sage_SA_DBVerifier.exe.
  4. Browse to the data file location.
  5. Select Advanced Check & Repair.
