Summary

How to generate a list of all invoices and credit notes from vendors in Sage Accounting.

Description

The expenses list displays all invoices and credit notes from your vendors. It shows the total value, outstanding amount, and status of each invoice or credit note.

Resolution

To view the expenses list, click Expenses. Optionally, click Expenses and then Vendor Bills, Vendor Credit Notes, or Quick Entries to see specific transaction types.

From the expenses list, you can:

  • Create a new bill or credit note
  • View details of an existing vendor bill or credit note by clicking the relevant item
  • Change or void an existing vendor bill, or credit note
    • You cannot void bills or credit notes marked as Paid or Part Paid
    • In these cases, unallocate the relevant transactions
  • Record a payment or credit note against a particular invoice
  • Quickly view transactions with attachments
  • Search for specific items by entering the company name, contact name, or reference in the Type to search box
  • Filter the list by date by changing the from and to dates
  • Filter the list by payment status by clicking Filters and selecting a status
    • Choose from All, Unpaid, Paid, Part Paid, Void, or Draft
  • Use the action toolbar to manage items, including deleting or copying an invoice or credit note
