Summary
The error "Download has failed" occurs when downloading a file from Remote Data Access (RDA) in Sage 50 Accounting.
Resolution
Remote Data Access
- If the issue occurs on a second computer after downloading a newly converted shared file via RDA.
- On the computer where you uploaded the file, go to File, Remote Data Access, Pause Sharing, then Resume Sharing.
- On the second computer, download the file again. On the Welcome screen, choose Connect to a shared company.
- Run an internet speed test. If the test reports slow speeds, discontinue using Remote Data Access.
Other troubleshooting
- Disable antivirus and firewall.
- Run Sage as an administrator.
- Check the computer of the parent/owner of the Remote Data Access file for malware/spyware.
- When downloading the file, ensure the download location isn’t synced with Dropbox, One Drive, or another cloud syncing service.
- Create a new folder on the C Drive and save the file there.
