Resolution

  1. Follow How to Set up a Payroll Entitlement to assign the required daily work hours to 1 sick day.
  2. Set up a new Payroll Income for the required Entitlement. Name it for example 'Sick Days'. Follow How do I create a new payroll income or deduction?
  3. Check the amount of Payroll Entitlement you need to pay. For example, Sick Days. See In payroll, is there a report that only shows entitlement information?
  4. Create a new paycheque for this amount or just include it in the next paycheque for the required employee.
    • Go to the Entitlements tab and enter the entitled day eligible under the Days Earned column and the appropriate Days Taken
    • If the days are paid, pay the sick day under the Sick Pay income name
    • If the days are unpaid and the employee is salaried, create a separate line income and process the new payroll income with a negative amount along with the regular salary payment
