How to set up a Payroll Entitlement

  1. Switch to single-user mode.
  2. Go to Setup, Settings, then Payroll.
  3. Select Entitlements.
  4. In the Entitlements section, click the entitlement you want to modify and type in a new name.
  5. In The Number of Hours in a Work Day field, modify the number.
  6. In the Track Using % Hours Worked column, enter a percent number. Calculate the percentage of entitlement hours (or days) earned in a year to total hours (or days) worked in a year.
  7. In the Maximum Days column, add or modify the maximum number of entitlement days an employee earns.
  8. In the Clear Days At Year-End column, click to select Yes or No.
  9. Click OK.

 NOTE: The payroll Entitlements tab doesn’t create an accounting entry for banked hours. Manually enter the payout on the Income tab.
