Resolution

CAUTION: This solution requires advanced knowledge of Windows security and network settings. Sage isn't responsible for any issues that arise from changes to these settings. Ensure you back up all system and application databases necessary for a complete restoration. It's advisable to contact a certified consultant or your system administrator for assistance.

Option 1: New folder on C drive

  1. Create a new folder on the C: drive.
  2. Save the customized form or backup in the new folder.
  3. Verify you can save customized form or backup.

Note: This will also be useful for future releases as a new form does not need to be recreated. In Reports & Forms the path would need to be changed to the correct path of the customized form.

Option 2: Run as administrator

  1. Close out of the program.
  2. Right-click Sage 50—Canadian Edition icon, and then click Run as administrator.
  3. Verify you can save customized form or backup.

Option 3: Save in folder under Documents

  1. Create a folder in Documents.
  2. Verify you can save customized form or backup.

Option 4: Save in folder on the network

  1. When working in multiuser, save the customized form in a network location for easy access.
  2. Refer to How to customize forms to modify text, data, images or add a company logo.
