Summary

What to do when Sage 50 Accounting displays the error: "Sage 50 has been updated to use a login for services. You need a service plan that includes connecting a company using a login. Call 1-888-261-9610 to buy or renew your plan..."

Cause

  • The Pay Now box is checked off for Invoice Payments but you do not have a valid service plan that offers the service

Resolution

Option 1: I don't use any cloud services.

  1. Contact support if you were previously a Sage 50 cloud subscriber and renewed your plan recently.

Option 2: I do not use or plan to use Invoice Payments.

  1. Uncheck the box in the Invoice Payments line that says "Include Pay Now option in the email to accept payments."

Option 3: I want to include a Pay Now option on my invoices.

  1. Call our sales team at 1-888-261-9610 to add a Sage 50 cloud plan to your account
  2. Keep the Include Pay Now checkbox checked off to continue using Invoice Payments
