How to share a company file using Remote Data Access (RDA)

Steps to share your Sage 50 Accounting company files in the cloud to access the data remotely.

Resolution

  1. Go to File, Remote Data Access, Share Company.
  2. Enter your sysadmin password if you have one set up.
  3. Click the Share button.
  4. Click Get Started.
  5. Click Yes, I’m the right person.
  6. Confirm your company information.
  7. If you have an existing Sage account email address, go to step 11.
  8. If you don’t have a Sage ID, select Create account at the bottom.
  9. Enter your email and create a new password.
     NOTE: Create the account using the data owner's or company email. You'll need to set up 2-factor authentication.
  10. Enter the 6-digit code that you received via email.
  11. Log in.
  12. The setup will take a moment.
  13. Once the Remote Data Access setup is complete, you’ll have the Manage users button.
  14. Click Finish if there are no more users to add currently.
