How to upgrade to a higher edition of Sage 50

Steps to upgrade your version of Sage 50 Accounting to add more features.

 NOTE: Create a backup of your data file before upgrading to a higher version.

Upgrading to Premium, Quantum, or Accountant's Edition

1. Uninstall Sage 50.
2. Reinstall Sage 50.
3. Use the new serial number for the version you're upgrading to.
   • For example, if you're upgrading from Pro to Premium, use the new serial number for Premium Edition
4. Repeat the steps on any additional computers.

Upgrading in Accountant's Edition from Pro to Premium / Quantum or from Premium to Quantum

1. Open any Sage 50 file or the sample company as sysadmin in single-user mode.
2. Select Accountant Edition from the main menu.
3. Select Upgrade Company and follow the steps.
4. Perform these steps on all workstations.
