| Resolution | Follow these steps to check and correct the issue. To simplify the illustration, let's assume the current year is 2026. That means last year was 2025, and the year before that was 2024. ▼ Check the amounts in the Last Year column - Open the payroll module and select an employee.
- Click Earnings tab. Check the amounts under the Last Year column.
- T4 gets the information from the Last Year column.
- If the Last Year shows 2024 amounts, you haven't run the payroll year-end process. T4 will pull the amounts for 2024.
- Continue with the next step.
▼ Check the amounts in This Year column - Open the payroll module and select an employee.
- Click Earnings tab. Check the amounts under This Year column.
- If This Year has the correct amount for 2025, sign in with 12/31/2025. Close the payroll year-end. Log in with 01/01/2026 and print T4 again.
- If This Year amounts are too high for 2025, continue with the next step.

- Print the report of all paycheques for the current year (2026).
- Void all the paycheques for the current year (2026).
- Check the Earnings tab. Confirm This Year column has the correct amounts for last year (2025).
- Make another backup of data.
- Sign in with December 31 of last year (12/31/25).
- Perform payroll year-end to move the amounts under This Year column to the Last Year column. Confirm the Last Year column has the correct amount (2025).
- Sign in January 1 of the current year (01/01/26) and print T4. Confirm that T4 has the correct amounts.
- Re-enter all the paycheques for the current year (2026) that you voided in step 3.
