| | How do I use Windows Computer Management to close open files or sessions at the server? |
| Resolution | CAUTION: Use caution when working with the below product functionality. Always create a backup of your data before proceeding with advanced solutions. If necessary, seek the assistance of a qualified Sage business partner, network administrator, or Sage customer support analyst.
CAUTION: This solution needs advanced Operating System knowledge. Consult your system administrator for help. Sage isn't liable for issues caused by improper changes to the Windows Registry. Always back up your data before applying advanced solutions.
CAUTION: Sage support can't assist with third-party products, hardware, report customizations, or state and federal tax questions. Refer to our Scope of Support for more info. Contact your Sage business partner, network administrator, or accountant for assistance.
Please Note: Ensure the workstation in question does not have 300CRE open. Disconnecting a user's connection to a 300CRE module or Shared Operating file, while the user is working could cause data corruption. Please ensure you have a valid backup of your company data before proceeding.
If restarting Pervasive/Actian or a reboot of the workstation does not close the user's session, please follow the directions below to close any open files that are "stuck" open on the Server:
- To open Computer Management, access the "RUN" box by typing [Win-Logo]+[R] and type in Open box "compmgmt.msc" (without the quotes) and click OK, or you can right-click on Computer in the start menu and select Manage
- In the Computer Management window, on the left pane, expand Shared Folders and click on Open Files

3. Select and remove the desired folders paths related to Sage or the Module in question
