Description
Cause
  • Windows 10 Default UAC/Windows Security controls are blocking the Crystal Runtime Engines
  • Although you may be local or part of the domain administrator's group, but in Windows 10 you are not running the program as the "Built-in Administrator" which is what is required to pull the data from the server for this action.

Option I: Set Sage Desktop to Run as Administrator

  1. Start Sage Desktop with Run as Administrator (Run as the Built-in Administrator):
    1. Browse to the Sage Desktop shortcut.
    2. Right click the shortcut.
    3. Choose Run as Administrator.
  2. Set the shortcut to always Run as Administrator:
    1. Go to Windows Start button, All Programs, Sage, Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate, Sage Desktop.
    2. Right click the shortcut.
    3. Choose Properties.
    4. Click the Compatibility tab.
    5. Click the Change settings for all user.
    6. Under Privilege Level, check mark the Run this program as an administrator option.
