| Resolution | These steps also apply if you want to print T4s for an employee that’s working from two different provinces. Check with your accountant - Contact your accountant to determine whether the employee needs separate paycheques based on the province of employment.
- Visit the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) website for guidance.
- Contact the CRA for clarification.
Preparing paycheques and T4s Creating separate paycheques based on the primary provinces of employment - Create the employee twice, one employee record for each province.
- Create the paycheques in the proper province where they've worked from.
- Keep on an eye on their contributions for CPP and EI. When they reach the maximum, turn off the option to deduct CPP and EI from both employee records.
- Print both T4's at the end of the year.
Creating a single employee paycheque based on the employers' location - Create a single employee record and set the province as the Tax Table province.
- Do your paycheques as normal.
