Error: "Cannot export CPP and QPP for XXXXX employee. Create a seperate T4 for each amount" when printing T4. Description Cause This error is caused by having an employee in a province other than Quebec for 1 or more payroll cheques. Then the province was changed on the tax tab of employees record to or from Quebec for the remainder of the year. Resolution Contact your accountant to: Make corrective entries so the employee's year to date taxes are correct (where possible). If not possible, then split the employee into two employee records (one for each province). Print the respective T4 and/or RL-1 for each affected employee if there is more than one per employee.
