When returning a check in Property Management, consider the effect of the increase returned check count option. This option can have effects in both Property Management and Cash Management. These effects aren’t immediately apparent but can create issues when you reconcile. The Increase returned check count affects the number of returned checks on the tenant and lease. This is important if you have a Return limit for your tenant or lease. The Increase returned check count also affects how Sage sends the reversing transactions to Cash Management. - Select the Increase returned check count checkbox: Sage creates an adjustment transaction in Cash Management. The original deposit appears the same but a separate transaction appears that shows the reversal.
- Don't select the Increase returned check count checkbox: Sage reduces the original deposit in Cash Management by the amount of the returned check.
