• The installation process is interrupted before the software has been successfully installed
• Windows stops the process
• Registry keys are corrupt
• DLL in error message isn’t registered in windows
• Power failure during install
• Microsoft C+++ issue

Restart the computer

1. Restart the computer.
2. Attempt the reinstallation.

Disable security

Disable Antivirus and Firewall. Contact Local IT or the Antivirus/Firewall software vendor for assistance with this.

Repairing the Microsoft Visual C+++ 2015-2022

1. Go to Windows Start, Control Panel, Programs and Features.
2. Right-click Microsoft Visual C+++ 2015-2022 Redistributable (x64).
3. Select Change then choose Repair.
4. Repeat step 2 and 3 for Microsoft Visual C+++ 2015-2022 Redistributable (x86).

Uninstall Sage 50

1. Go to Control Panel, Programs and Features.
2. Highlight the Sage 50 program you want deleted and select Uninstall.

Deleted Sage 50 Program Files folder

1. Open Windows Explorer and go to C:\Program Files (x86).
2. Delete the Sage program directory of the version you’re working with (that is: Sage 50 [type] Edition Version 20XX - where [type] is either "Pro", "Premium", "Quantum" or "Accountant" and XX is the year).

Clean the Temporary folder

1. Click start, type %TEMP% and press Enter.
2. Delete all the files and folders from this directory.
   • Some files or folders will be locked by windows and can’t be deleted, skip these files

Clean the registry

See Error 1603, 1618, 1628, 1701, 1704, 1721 or 1722 when installing/uninstalling Sage 50 for the specific Sage 50 registry keys.
