| Description | - Balance Sheet report isn’t balanced
- Total Debits and Total Credits don’t equal in the Data Integrity window
- Retained Earnings opening balance isn’t correct

| Resolution | Before you begin - Ensure all computers are on the latest version, if not download and install updates.
- Make a backup of your company file.
If you are in History Mode - Select Company, then Chart of Accounts.
- Once open, close the window. You'll receive a prompt to put the difference to the Retained Earnings account.
- Go to Maintenance, then Check Data Integrity.
- If the Total Debits and Total Credits don't equal, run the database utility on the company file.
