| Resolution | Check for open files- Advise all users to log out of Sage 50.
- Re-attempt launch of Sage 50 company file.
Login as the sysadmin- Try to log in as sysadmin, using single user mode
Delete the file "process.pid"- Check the SAJ folder of the company file for the process.pid file and delete it.
- Open your data file again.
Close mysqld.exe process in Windows Task Manager- Close Sage 50 on all computers.
- Open Windows Task Manager on the computer hosting the database.
- Select the Processes tab.
- Check the Show processes from all users button.
- End any mysqld.exe from Image Name list.
- Open your data file again.
Restart the Connection Manager- Close Sage 50 on all the computers.
- Press the Windows key + R.
- Type services.msc and click OK.
- Find the Sage 50 Database Connection Manager.
- Right-click and Restart.
Modify Sage 50 Connection Manager settings (for larger networks)- Open Sage 50 Connection Manager from the Taskbar.
- Under Advance Database Settings, modify the Memory buffer size from 256.
- Under Advance Database Settings, modify the Number of connection attempts from 6.
- Click OK.
- Open your data file again.
Reboot the Host computer - Close Sage 50 on all computers.
- Restart the computer hosting the database.
- Open your data file again.
Check the network adapter- The network adapter is essential for Sage 50 to operate
- If Windows shut down the network adapter while idle, have an IT Technician modify the power management settings
There’s no current access to the data storage location (server)- Make sure there are no users accessing the problematic Sage 50 file.
- Locate the SAJ folder and.SAI file for the data.
- Copy the files to a new folder in a different server location path.
- Delete the old SAI file from the original location to prevent other users from accessing it.
