Summary
Common reasons why the 'Remember me' option doesn't work logging into your Sage account.
Description
The 'Remember me' option uses cookies in your Internet browser. If you find this feature isn't working correctly, check the following causes:
Incognito Mode
- Don't use an incognito or private browsing window when you log in and select 'Remember me'
- Incognito mode doesn't save the required cookies
Clearing browsing data
- Clearing browsing data from your internet browser deletes all cookies
- If you delete your cookies, the 'Remember me' setting is lost
Automatic deletion settings
- Some browsers offer the option to delete browsing data, including cookies, at regular intervals
- If you use the automatic delete browsing data feature, it deletes cookies and resets the 'Remember me' function
- Check your browser settings to see if you have set this up
NOTE: Visit your browser support guide or contact the provider for help with this setting
Use the same browser
- Cookies don't transfer between Internet browsers
- Log in with the browser you used when you selected 'Remember me'
EXAMPLE: If you selected the option in Google Chrome, using Microsoft Edge will prompt you to complete two-factor authentication
Stick to a single device
- Use the same device that you were using when you opted for Remember me
- Switching devices will require you to complete two-factor authentication again
Don't share login details
- Don't share your username or password with others
- The Remember me option is for individual use
NOTE: Find out more about this in Two-factor authentication (2FA) for multi-user Sage accounts
