Archived: Create the Sales Tax report

The Sales Tax report shows you how much sales tax you have collected for each tax rate over a given period of time. The report includes summary information and details that are categorized by tax authority.

To view the Sales Tax report

1. Got to Reports, and then click Sales Tax Report.

   The report shows all tax authorities to whom you owe sales tax, based on the date range. Enter dates in the From and To fields to refine the report as needed.

2. The report displays the following information:

   Tax Authority	The tax authority where you pay the collected sales tax.
   Agency	The tax agency where you pay the collected sales tax.
   Taxable Sales	Net value for all transactions against the given tax rate within the date range selected. For combined tax rates, Taxable Sales are displayed only against the combined tax rate row.
   Tax Rate	The individual tax rate for the Tax Authority. If a tax rate amount has been changed, the report shows the old and new rates and the dates that they change.

3. To save or print the report, from the Export menu, select either CSV or PDF.
   • CSV files are either automatically downloaded, or you're asked to save the file.
   • PDF files open in a new tab or window. Use the browser toolbar options to print or save the report.
4. To view a more detailed tax report, click View Detailed.

   The detailed report shows the individual transactions that make up the values on the report. You can also save or print this report from the Export menu.

5. To return to the Sales Tax report from the Sales Tax Breakdown page, click your browser's Back button.
