How to post to a prior fiscal or calendar year

You can post entries in Sage 50 Accounting to the current and prior year.

NOTE: Select Setup, Settings, Information. The 'current year dates' and 'last year dates' show the earliest entry date you can use.

Manually click the calendar icon in the required module.
Move backward to the prior fiscal year.
Select the date that you need to post the transaction.
NOTE: Avoid using the Session Date selector on the home menu; it's only for current fiscal year transactions.
The entry will affect the prior year's retained earnings balance and roll balances to the new year.
