How to turn on serialized inventory

NOTES:

• Serialized items are only available in the Sage 50 Quantum edition.
• You must be using First In, First Out (FIFO) inventory costing.
• Once an item with a serial number is used in a transaction, you cannot turn off serialized inventory.
• If you decide to turn serialized inventory off in your company settings, it will turn the feature off for all of your inventory items, and all serial numbers that have been entered will be removed.

To turn on serialized inventory for your company:

• In the Home window, on the Setup menu, select Settings, Inventory and Services, and then Options.
• In the Inventory Costing Method section, select Allow serial numbers for inventory.
• Click OK.
