How do I transfer the ownership of a client's account from my Accountant Edition

Summary

This article outlines the steps an Accountant using the Accountant Edition can follow to transfer the ownership of a Sage Accounting account to their client.

Resolution

 NOTE: The following steps can only be followed by the Accountant who owns the client's account 

  1. Sign in to your Accounting Accountant Edition.
  2. In the Active Clients tab, choose the Client's account you wish to transfer ownership to
  3. Select the Ownsership button on the far right

  4. Follow the on screen prompt to send the invite to the client

  5. The client will need to chekc their email and accept the invitation from here.

 CAUTION: The client must provide you with an email address that is not currently in use for Sage.
The invitation cannot be send to an email address the client is currently using as a user for example.
