Summary
Instructions on how an accountant's copy can be restored into Sage 50 Accounting as a regular version that allows full access.
Resolution
To convert an Accountant's Copy of a Sage 50 database back into a regular company file, you must use the same version of Sage 50 that was used to create the Accountant's Copy. For example, if the file was created using Sage 50 Premium, you’ll need Sage 50 Premium or its Trial version to restore it.
When you try to open an Accountant's Copy using Pro, Premium, or Quantum editions of Sage 50, you’ll see this message:
“This is an accountant's copy of your data and it should be opened only with Sage 50 Accountanting.
If you open this company, it will become a regular Sage 50 database.
To learn more about how this will affect your company data, click Help.
Do you still want to open this accountant's copy?”
If you click Yes, the file will be restored as a regular company file.
NOTE: If you're using the Accountant's Edition of Sage 50 to restore the file, you won’t see the warning message about converting the Accountant’s Copy to a regular company file.
