Check the completeness and accuracy of your transaction entries and accounts using the Data Integrity Check in Sage 50 Accounting. The system compares the balance in each account to the sum of all the transaction entries.
Run Data Integrity Check
- Select the Maintenance menu and choose Check Data Integrity.

Check the results for any account balance marked with an asterisk. The asterisk indicates accounts are out of balance.
- Click OK.
No balances issues detected
- Your data is fine and you don't need to take any further action
If the data integrity check finds balances issues
- Restore your company to the most recent backup with no errors.
- Run the Data Integrity Check on this data.
- If there are still issues with balances, continue restoring the most recent backup until there are no issues found.
- Re-enter all the transactions since the date of the error-free backup.
