How to transfer the installation folder from one computer to another

Summary

Moving installation files from your old computer to a new computer will allow you to install Sage 50 on your new computer.

Cause

Installing on a new machine.

Resolution

  1. Select Windows Start, then Computer.
  2. Open the C:\ drive.
  3. Open the Sage folder.
  4. Right-click on Sage 50 Accounting Installer Files - CND Release 20XX.X (current release example 2015.1), then select Copy.
  5. Insert External Device in the computer (example Flash Drive).
  6. Open the Drive letter for your removeable storage.
  7. Right-click in the open white area, then select Paste.
  8. Remove External Device once files have transferred completely.
  9. Insert External Device into new PC.
  10. Open Sage 50 Accounting Installer Files - CND Release 20XX.X folder.
  11. Double-click on Launch.exe.
