Payroll not calculating vacation for employees

Summary

Payroll not calculating vacation for employees. Vacation doesn’t show in gross pay.

Cause

  • Linked account for vacation owed is blank
  • Linked account for vacation earned is blank
  • The income is set not to calculate vacation

Resolution

  1. Select Setup, Settings, Payroll, Linked Account, Income.
  2. Select the account under Vac. Owed:
  3. Select the account for Vacation Earned
  4. In the sub-menu, select Setup, Settings, Payroll, Incomes
  5. In the Calc. Vac column, ensure the income for the employee has a checkmark.
