Summary
How to resolve when sales tax isn't itemized on the invoice in Sage 50 Accounting.
Cause
- There was only one tax charged in the tax code. It should charge two taxes to display the breakdown
- You've configured more than two taxes in sage 50 Canadian
Resolution
- Verify in Setup, Settings, Company, Sales Taxes, Taxes if you have set up more than two taxes.
- If there are, it will show the total taxes on the invoice as one total. You can click on the magnifying glass to see the breakdown details
- If you want to see the breakdown directly on the invoice you can only have one tax set up in Setup, Settings, Company, Sales Taxes, Taxes.
- If you want to edit the tax amount on the invoice item line without double-clicking into the tax column. You'll need to decide on which taxes to remove in settings for the taxes. See How do I set up sales taxes?
