Description

  •     My payroll doesn't calculate automatically, and I get the above message and it won’t update my current service plan  
  •     When I try to do a paycheque, the employee name selector is greyed out

Resolution

Method 1: I want to use automatic payroll.

  1. Call the number in the message and update your service or try the 60-day free payroll trial option in the message options.

Method 2: If you don't have the latest version of Sage 50.

  1. In Sage 50 go to Help, Check for Product Updates.
  2. Download and install the new version if available.
  3. Try doing the payroll in the latest version.

Method 3: If you have an active service plan.

  1. Select I have a service plan that includes payroll to update your program with the new information.

Method 4: If prompted to enter a Payroll ID.

  1. Select Enter Payroll ID and enter the new payroll ID.

Method 5: I only want manual payroll but the error occurs when I’m not doing any auto tax calculation activities.

  1. If the payroll subscription isn’t automatic, go to Help, Upgrade Your Sage 50 Product.
  2. Verify the serial info is entered correctly.
  3. Click OK.
