To check if there's data damage or a conversation issue in Sage 50 Accounting, use the Advanced Database Check.
Resolution
To run ADC from within the data file
NOTE: Make sure the data file is on the local C Drive and not on the network or the cloud.
- Ensure that the user logs in as sysadmin and in single-user mode.
- Create a backup.
- Select Maintenance, Advanced Database Check.
- On the Sage 50 warning window, select Yes.
- Wait for the Database Check processing window to finish.
- The Sage 50 Company File Checks and Repair will display a new window if there are errors.
- Select OK to fix database table layout inconsistencies.
- If you receive the message "Not a valid Sage 50 file", contact Customer Support at 888-522-2722.
- Wait for the file verification to finish.
To run ADC from outside Sage 50
- Open Windows Explorer.
- Browse to the C:\\ Program Files (x86), Sage 50, dbverifier.
- Double-click Sage_SA_DBVerifier.exe.
- Browse to the data file location.
- Select Advanced Check & Repair.
