Error: "The program detected an error in your data when looking for your information related to user preferences. You may want to restore your latest backup." when adjusting or reversing an invoice

Resolution

  1. Select Start, Control Panel, and then select Programs and Features.
  2. Right-click Sage 50 Accounting, and then select Change.
  3. Click Yes at the message "Continue modifying Sage 50?"
  4. Click OK on the message "You currently have Sage 50 installed."
  5. Select Update/Reinstall option. Click Next. 
  6. Reboot computer.
  7. Verify you no longer receive an error message when adjusting or voiding an invoice.
