The Quebec Health Services Fund (QHSF/FSSQ) isn't calculating

Summary

How to calculate QHSF/FSSQ automatically on paycheques in Sage 50 Accounting.

Cause

  • The QHSF (FSSQ) factor is missing from the payroll settings
  • You don't have an active payroll service
  • You haven't installed the latest payroll update

Resolution

  1. Go to Setup, Settings, Payroll, then Taxes.
  2. Enter the QHSF Factor.

    NOTE:

    Visit the Revenu Quebec website for more information regarding QHSF. 

  3. Click OK.

The QHSF will now calculate on every paycheque.

NOTE:

For QHSF to calculate automatically when you post a paycheque, you need a payroll service plan on your account. If you don't have an active payroll service, create a general journal entry for the QHSF account.
