How to fix Sage 50 Canada error: "You have entered a Inventory Number that has been assigned to another Inventory. You cannot have two Inventorys with the same Inventory Number."

Cause

inventory data is corrupted

Resolution

  1. Close Sage 50.
  2. Open the company file again.
  3. If you see a message "Data inconsistencies have been detected in the database. your data may be damaged. Do you want to repair your data?" the click YES to let Sage 50 repair the company data.
  4. Create new inventory item to see if it works.
