Closing a month or a period shorter than a year

Closing a month or a period in less than a year isn't an option in Sage 50 Accounting. However, you can limit users ability to modify past transactions.

To limit users ability to modify past transactions

1. Log in as sysadmin in single user mode.
2. Select Setup, Settings, Company, then System.
3. Select Do not allow transactions dated before:
4. Click the calendar icon and change to the date.
5. Click OK.
