Resolution
Method 1: The prior outstanding transaction already exists in Sage 50
- Click Add Prior outstanding on the Reconciliation & Deposits window.
- Note: Add Prior outstanding radio button will be available if you are reconciling the bank account first time or after resetting the bank reconciliation.
- Set the date (Show Resolved Trans. On or After) as far back as the oldest prior outstanding transaction.
- You may have to type the date manually (instead of selecting through the calendar button) and press the Tab key on your keyboard.
- Select the transactions from Resolved Transaction section.
- Click Add.
- The transaction shows up in Outstanding Transactions section.
- Repeat from 2. for additional transactions as necessary.
- Click OK.
Method 2: The prior outstanding transaction doesn't exist in Sage 50 (mostly because we created a new company that already is in operations for a number of years; eg. historical transaction)
- Click Add Prior outstanding on the Reconciliation & Deposits window.
- Note: Add Prior outstanding radio button will be available if you are reconciling the bank account first time or after resetting the bank reconciliation.
- If the transactions would not show in Resolved Transaction section.
- Click Insert Outstanding.
- Type the transaction details (Source, Comment, Date, Deposit or Withdrawals).
- Repeat from 2. for additional transactions as necessary.
