How do I print a report that contains the total budget for the year that I have entered?

Cause

The Budget report has a start and end month which may be shorter than the year.

Resolution

Budget is set to monthly so it shows only the monthly breakdown on Budget report.

Workaround 1: Use the Comparative Income Statement (actual vs budget)

  1. The steps below are available for the Premium or Quantum versions only.
  2. Click Report, Financials, Income Statement.
  3. Under the Report Type drop down menu, change to Comparative Income Statement (2 periods). 
  4. For the Second Period, change it to Current Yr Budget.
  5. Set the Start and Finish months.
  6. Make any other changes as necessary.
  7. Click OK.

Workaround 2: Use the Budget report in excel if not using the Comparative Income Statement report

  1. Click Report, Financials, Budget.
  2. Select Current year or Previous year which ever is applicable.
  3. Select the Start and End date.
  4. Make any other changes as necessary.
  5. Click OK.
  6. When the reports shows, click either the Export or Open in Excel buttons.
  7. In Excel, create a columm to total the budgeted amounts for the year.
