2D barcode does not print on the copy 1 of RL-1

Resolution

Method I: Make sure the company address is less than 30 characters

  1. Select Setup, Settings, then Company Information.
  2. Make sure the Street 1 (or Street 2) fields are no longer than 30 characters.

Method II: Reboot the computer

Reboot the computer.

Method III: Make sure you have the latest Sage 50 update installed

  1. Select Help, then Check for Product Updates.
  2. Follow the instructions.

Method IV: Uninstall and reinstall Sage 50

  1. Select Windows Start, Control Panel, then Programs.
  2. Select Sage 50 Accounting
  3. Right-click, then select Uninstall.
  4. Install the latest full version of Sage 50 2015.

Method V: Install the barcode font

  1. Open Windows Explorer.
  2. Browse to C:\Windows\Fonts\
  3. Double-click BCSDatamatrix Regular.
  4. Select Install, then reboot.

Method VI: Manually install the barcode font

  1. Open an Explorer window.
  2. Browse to C:\Windows\Fonts\
  3. Download the font file (zipped) available further below in the Attachment section.
  4. Double-click the downloaded zip file.
  5. Drag the font file to C:\Windows\Fonts\
  6. Double-click BCSDatamatrix Regular.
  7. Select Install
  8. Reboot the computer.

Method VII: How to remove amount from box A

  1. If your employees are first nations and you have created some specific incomes
  2. When printing the RL1, in the box options, you may need to to select letter "R" beside the box of any income you have added
  3. If you have paid vacation during the year, you will need to adjust the paycheques in question and remove the vacation amount then enter that vacation amount as an income. Since there is no box for vacation in the RL1 box options
  4. Only after doing all that, all incomes will be added to the box R-1.

Method VIII: If there is no amount in Box A, you will not get the barcode printed

Note: If there is no amount in box A, you will not get the barcode printed

  1. You shall ask the government if the barcode is absolutely needed if the box A is empty
  2. If all these options don't work for you, you can choose to manually do your RL1.

Method IX: if some employee printed and some dont

  1. try reset record flag but update employee record or change postal code save and change it back.
