How to check who posted a transaction

Summary

Show users who posted transactions by selecting options on the Transaction Details or Journal Entries Report setup in Sage 50 Accounting.

Resolution

  1. Log in to the company file as the sysadmin.
  2. Go to Reports, Transaction Details, or Journal entires, All.
  3. Select the fiscal year.
  4. Select Report by Date and enter the Start and Finish date or Transaction Number.
  5. Enter the Start and Finish journal entry number.
  6. In the Show section, check User and Corrections in the Modify Report window.
     NOTE: Use the option for Corrections to show corrections, adjustments, and reversals made by all users. 
  7. OK.
  8. The report will show the Transaction entered by: xxxxx.
