Summary

Error: "Your company currently does not allow transactions dated before..." when entering transactions in Sage 50 Accounting.

Cause

You've selected Don’t allow transaction dated before in the settings and you’re attempting to process a transaction dated before the specified date.

Resolution

Change transaction date

Check the date of your transactions and make sure it's not before the specified date in the message.

Change company settings

  1. Log in as sysadmin in single-user mode.
  2. Go to Setup, Settings, Company, System.
  3. Uncheck Do not allow transactions dated before:
  4. Click OK.
