How to resolve the error "A connection with the server could not be established" when uploading a direct deposit with Bambora from Sage 50 Accounting.

Resolution

 NOTE: Verify Bambora is not having any outages on their status page before following these steps.  

Update Internet Options

  1. Open Control Panel, select Network and Internet, Internet Options.
  2. Select the Security tab.
  3. Select Trusted Sites then Sites below.
  4. In the section Add this website to the zone type https://*.bambora.com and select Add.
  5. Type https://api.na.bambora.com and click Add.
  6. Select the Advanced tab scroll to the bottom of the settings.
  7. Verify use TLS 1.2 is checked.
  8. Click Apply and OK.
  9. Verify you can upload the direct deposit.

Update Sage 50

Turn off Firewall Temporarily

  1. Close Sage 50.
  2. Use the related resources to configure your firewall.
  3. Re-open Sage 50.
  4. Upload the direct deposit again.
