How to resolve the error "A connection with the server could not be established" when uploading a direct deposit with Bambora from Sage 50 Accounting.
Resolution
NOTE: Verify Bambora is not having any outages on their status page before following these steps.
Update Internet Options
- Open Control Panel, select Network and Internet, Internet Options.
- Select the Security tab.
- Select Trusted Sites then Sites below.
- In the section Add this website to the zone type https://*.bambora.com and select Add.
- Type https://api.na.bambora.com and click Add.
- Select the Advanced tab scroll to the bottom of the settings.
- Verify use TLS 1.2 is checked.
- Click Apply and OK.
- Verify you can upload the direct deposit.
Update Sage 50
Turn off Firewall Temporarily
- Close Sage 50.
- Use the related resources to configure your firewall.
- Re-open Sage 50.
- Upload the direct deposit again.
